4-H Appreciation Night at the Whoville Fun Factory

Calling all 4-H Members! 4-H Families! 4-H Volunteers!

We are excited to invite you to the 4-H Appreciation Night being held at the "Whoville Fun Factory" on Friday, December 9, beginning at 6:30pm.  4-H Appreciation Night is the night we honor our 4-H Members and Volunteers for their contributions and achievements over the last year. For those who register we will have a food truck to provide dinner and our recognition program will start shortly after folks are seated.

After the program and meal, we will turn up the fun and magically turn the room into Whoville from Dr. Suess's The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. We will have games, tree trimming, a hot chocolate bar and so much more. Come prepared for our ugly top contest (sweaters, t-shirts, jackets, etc.) which will be judged by our mystery judges during the night. Our youth will be engaged during the evening in learning activities and fun that will last a lifetime.

Your price of admission will be in-date canned or nonperishable food items that will be donated to the food pantry. These donations will make the holidays better for others in our community. Please register youth, volunteers, and any accompanying adults or siblings who will be attending so we can make sure we have tickets for everyone.  To register you can go to our app under programs and click the registration link under 4-H Appreciation Night or you can click this link and register.

Binding Memories-A Hybrid T-Shirt Quilting Class

Many youth and adults are given t-shirts for various activities they have participated in. We all accumulate these and some are hard to part with because they represent something special. Constructing your own t-shirt quilt from these t-shirts will allow to build upon your sewing skills and bind those memories to wrap up in. These t-shirt quilts also make great gifts for others!

The workshop will begin on Tuesday October 25th and go through Tuesday December 13th. Lessons will be offered LIVE (via online access/zoom) on most Tuesdays beginning at 4pm Eastern Time for 8 weeks. These lessons will also be recorded and available to registered participants to view anytime during the workshop series.  To register please go to:   https://www.eventbrite.com/e/binding-memories-diy-t-shirt-quilt-workshop-hybrid-tickets-428155222797?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=escb

Several Groups or County 4-H Agents may want to offer a "Watch Party" to participate in these workshops. Check with your group leaders and agents as there may be a fee or additional registration if they are offering an "in-person" option with materials and supplies.

There are several options in this registration process for individual youth, Group Leader/4-H Agent, etc. Instructors will be in touch with 4-H Agents and Group Leaders. *Please check location information on select ticket options.

This workshop is designed for youth ages 10-18 and with solid basic sewing skills. Once you have registered, material lists will be sent to you before workshops begin. Instructors will be available for assistance throughout the workshop series.

Let's BIND some memories!

See You Sew Soon!
