Gardening Tips

Lots of folks are taking this time at home to start gardens and teach gardening to our youth.  Here are some helpful hints when setting up your gardening..
4 TIPS Before you TIll!
Starting a new garden? Do these four things before you till or install raised beds:
1. Check sunlight levels. Most vegetables need 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. 2. Know your soil. Put your garden where soil is richest, or bring in high-quality soil.
3. Give wind cover. A structure, shrubs, or fencing on the north side can temper damaging winds. 4. Have a water source nearby. Make it easy on yourself during those hot, dry spells when your garden needs extra water.
If you give careful consideration to these four factors before you start your garden installation, you're much more likely to have a successful, bountiful garden!
