We are so excited to announce a not new, but returning member to our Extension and 4-H Team in Robeson County.  Joanna Rogers, who served as our Expanded Foods and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) Assistant has returned to her previous position with us.   What does this mean?  Well for our schools who enjoyed the food and nutrition education program she brought them in the classrooms, she is back with her series and will be able to schedule with you in the fall.  For our community programs she worked with in the summer, she is back!  For our High Schools and other youth audiences who have not had that chance to work with her now is the time to start scheduling because she books up fast.  You can reach out to Joanna at (910) 671-3276 or jnroger2@ncsu.edu. Welcome back Joanna!  Can't wait to see the impact you make.

Application, Interview, Resume, and Essay is a statewide program open to 11-18 year olds with National Trips available for our 14-18 year olds who go through the process.     The process begins with a prep-packet which is located on the NC 4-H Website.  It is a two step process to register for the program.     First register through this Eventbrite link on our app under programs or below to take part in the program.  Go through the packet and determine what category you would like to take part in and then complete the packet and return to Shea Ann DeJarnette at sadejarn@ncsu.edu by June 1.  Once you are registered you will receive an email from the state 4-H Office to sign up for an interview slot.

International Exchange

North Carolina 4-H is offering the experience of a lifetime for 29 families this summer! A delegation of young people, ages 12-17, plus adult chaperones from Japan and South Korea are in need of YOU! These Japanese and Korean youth are coming to North Carolina from July 23 through August 16 and would love to stay with your family to learn about American culture. Special trips and tourism are not required to host a delegate. These young people are here to be a member of your family for a month, not a tourist. Over half of the delegates have already been matched with North Carolina families, but we still need 13 more families ! Can you help? These delegates are here for a homestay to experience American life. Is your child going to camp this summer? Send your delegate too! Camp fees are covered by 4-H and the international partner organization. Take them to the grocery store, let them do chores like feeding the animals, take them to 4-H meetings! Treat this young person as you woul...
