4-H Turkey Contest T-Shirt Design Winners

We want to thank all participants in the 2025 YMTS T-shirt Design Contest.  What an inspiration to see all the creativity demonstrated by youth from across NC!  These young artists did an 'egg'mazing job celebrating turkeys, the NC state fair, youth, and North Carolina in their designs.  In fact, this year we picked two honorable mention designs.

First, let's share the winning design which was completed by a sister and brother team of 11 year old Avery Pierce and 12 year old Reagan Pierce from Vance County!  They will share their prize of winning a free 2025 YMTS registration, ribbon, and T-shirt.  Take a look at their beautiful design below; I can't wait to see it on the back of the 2025 YMTS T-shirt!

I wanted to also acknowledge our 2nd place honorable mention winner, John Tucker from Rowan County, and our 3rd place honorable mention winner, Addison Maxwell from Guilford County.  We will keep you posted how and when you will see their winning designs.

All participants of the 2025 YMTS will receive a T-shirt with their registration when they pick up poults.  Anyone not registered for 2025 YMTS but who wants a T-shirt can do so by purchasing one or volunteering 12 hours of time to the 2025 YMTS and receive a free shirt (instructions for both options will be available on Apr 8th when YMTS registration opens).

Thank you to our team of judges who had the difficult task of choosing a winner!
Congratulations again to all our participants of the 2025 YMTS T-shirt Design Contest and look forward to our youth participation in the 2025 YMTS!  Find out more at go.ncsu.edu/YMTS
Thank you,
🦃 Mary & YMTS Team
