District Horse Update

Wanted to share the following information with our youth interested in District Horse opportunities.  This is an email we received from a coordinator of that program today.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to send a quick update on the 2021 SE District and state 4-H horse bowl contests.  Coordinating agents met with the state 4-H horse program team this morning, and due to our ongoing COVID circumstances, a decision was made to not hold these contests in person.  However, there WILL be a virtual horse bowl event!  If your county/teams had submitted questions, thank you!  These questions will be used and your youth will certainly benefit from the knowledge.  If your county has not submitted questions,  youth in your county will be eligible to participate and compete, as well as if you do not have enough youth for a team.

More info with specifics will be coming soon from the state office, by early to mid next week.  Individual 4-Hers will register for this statewide contest directly with the state office. Please be patient and we will make sure you are informed.

Thanks for your understanding and patience as details are finalized, and let me know if you have any questions. I will keep you informed as I receive more info!

Agents: please help us inform any of your horse clubs of this update.

Eileen
