7 County Master Volunteer Revolution Trainings

We are excited to announce our 4-H Volunteer Training series is BACK!  This year we are excited to welcome Brunswick and Bladen Counties to our training series and of course our base group of Cumberland, Hoke, Moore, New Hanover, and Robeson are back to do great things with our incredible volunteers.  Please note to take part you must be actively registered in 4-H Online.

All workshops will be held starting at 6:30 pm in different counties. If we have folks registered for the in person meetings we will be providing transportation and communicate that via email.  For those attending in person a meal will be served, so it is important that you register via Eventbrite in advance. For those attending via Zoom the training will start at 7 pm.

4-H Basics-April 17-Hoke County: Come learn about the basics of 4-H. This is a great training for new leaders and a fabulous refresher for our more seasoned volunteers. For example did you know there are times when the four in 4-H should be spelled out? How often do you need to register in 4-H Online? What colors can the clover be?  We will answer these and more interesting facts at our 4-H Basics workshop. This will be held at the Hoke County Center. Since we last held in person trainings this office has moved to a new location. The new address is: 645 E Palmer St, Raeford, NC 28376

Competitive World of 4-H-June 12-Robeson County: We all know our 5-7 year olds are in a noncompetitive category. What happens when you turn 8? Come learn about the competitive world of 4-H and how we do it so our youth gain confidence, self-esteem, and learn to be good team players without having to wear a sports jersey or risking injury. This training will be held at the Robeson County Center, 455 Caton Road, Lumberton, NC 28360.

Teen Opportunities-September 18-Bladen County: When our youth hit 13 and even 14 a whole new world of 4-H Activities open up for them and each of them build on different things. Planning for those programs needs to start as they are in the 9-13 age range. Do you know how to move them forward and how to help them focus on different areas to help them be successful in the areas of ARI, Scholarships, and Honor Club to just name a few? Check out this training to see how you can help shape the future for our 4-H Teen Leaders and different programs they can take part in. This training will be held at the Bladen County Center, 450 Smith Cir, Elizabethtown, NC 28337

High Tech/High Touch of 4-H-October 23-Cumberland County: How comfortable do you feel with 4-H Online? E-mail becoming a problem that parents don't read? Did you know there is a virtual reality for 4-H programming? We will introduce you to the world of technology, answer your questions and the technology in our 4-H world, and take you into a virtual reality where learning is like a video game, only real. This training will be held at the Cumberland County Center 301 E Mountain Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28306

Deadline to register will be one week prior to each session. A zoom link will be sent out to those who register for the virtual sessions via an eventbrite email. To register you can go to our 4-H app and look under programs or use this link:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/7-county-master-volunteer-revolution-tickets-554441678987
