Dirty Rascals Gaurd Against Vampires

The second Tuesday of the Month means its time for our Dirty Rascals to get dirty in the Raised bed Garden.  Tonight our gardeners planted and harvested all at the same meeting.  Sunflowers went into the new raised bed so they can enter the new Sunflower contest at the Robeson Regional Agricultural Fair.  They also harvested, cleaned and separated the garlic that was planted last fall in our raised bed.  This is elephant garlic which tends to have a bigger bulb but is just as fragrant as what we are used to seeing and buying in the grocery store.  Later we will use this garlic to make salsa and spaghetti sauce with some of the fresh offerings from our garden.
