Opportunities for Youth

Warm your heart with a February Children's Program!
Chirp, Chirp - Tweet, Tweet
Continuing into the new year, February brings a new theme to our children's programming - BIRDS!

I've heard from many families how they have started bird watching in their extra time at home. And now I see birds everywhere!

February felt like a great time to talk about birds and learn more. We hope you'll enjoy the topic and maybe your family might be inspired to participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count, February 12-15!

February's Programs: Birds
Friday, February 5 at 10:30am - Facebook Live
Friday, February 12 at 10:30am - Garden Storytime (online)
Friday, February 19 - Garden Spotlight (resource available)
Friday, February 26 at 10:30am - Garden Storytime (online)
February Garden Activity Kit
Bring the month's theme alive in your house. Each month we are curating an activity kit for families to connect with the month's theme.

February's Garden Activity Kit features Ruby's Birds by Mya Thompson. Ruby discovers her passion for birds in her neighborhood and we hope it'll spark your family's as well!

Each kit includes a paperback copy of the book, a DIY bird feeder kit, paint and paint brush to decorate your bird feeder, and bird seed. Read the book, make a bird feeder, and welcome birds to your garden!

Kits have the option of shipping for an additional cost.
2021 Summer Garden Camps
The schedule has been announced! Check out all the camps happening this summer in the gardens.

Remember - Arboretum members at the Family/Dual level or above get two weeks of early registration starting on Monday, February 22 at 9:00 am. Public registration starts on March 8, 2021.
