We are excited and honored to announce that the state 4-H office has scheduled a special virtual workshop for our 4-H'ers on Friday, May 1st at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom with Mr. Jones Loflin.
Mr. Jones Loflin is an accomplished speaker and author. He has worked with organizations ranging from WalMart to the United States Military. With all of his accomplishments, he is perhaps most proud of being known as dad to Alex and Sydney. Alex is a 4-H Alumni from Davidson County and Sydney is a current Davidson County 4-H'er, serving as the North Central District President. Mr. Loflin is certainly no stranger to the North Carolina 4-H program!
During our time together, led by Mr. Loflin, we will talk about:
- Determining how to best use your free time.
- How to have positive conversations with negative people.
- Planning your future.
- How to help others succeed in times of change.
Registration for this virtual workshop via Zoom is required through a Google form and is open to all North Carolina 4-H'ers age 13-18. This free session is limited to the first 500 participants. Registration deadline is Wednesday, April 29th at 5:00 p.m. Please e-mail Wendy Maynor at Wendy_Maynor@ncsu.edu to register.
