4-H Top 4 for the week of November 25, 2019

--> Good morning! The holidays are upon us and your NC Cooperative Extension Staff would like to wish everyone and early Happy Thanksgiving this week. - Monday, December 2, by the close of business is the deadline to sign up for 4-H Appreciation Night.   This is a night (December 13, at 6:30pm) for all our 4-H youth and volunteers to be recognized for all their hard work through the year.   The event will be held at the 4-H office and because we are serving a meal it is imperative that you RSVP.   Please call (910) 671-3276 and ask for Jessie or Wendy to sign up.   Youth and volunteers as well as their immediate families are invited to attend.   This is the link to the flyer with more information including our community engagement project for the night.   For more information please contact Wendy Maynor, 4-H Program Associate at Wendy_Maynor@ncsu.edu or (910) 671-3276. - Looking for a Christmas present?   Think about 4-H ...

NC 4-H Camps & Centers Winter News December 2019 - February 2020 Happy Holidays! On behalf of our North Carolina 4-H Camps & Centers team, we wish you and yours a happy holiday season!  We hope you find time to relax, unwind, and enjoy time with family and friends over the holidays.  Thank you for your support in 2019!  We look forward to seeing you at camp again in 2020. Congratulations and Farewell! We are sad to say farewell to two of our Eastern 4-H Center team members. Terri Spear , who has kept our facilities looking beautiful as our Building Environmental Services Technician over the past fourteen years, is retiring before the holidays. As you prepare for any upcoming events, be sure you know what to do to stay safe. Then, share ways to prepare for the holidays with your family, friends, and community. Traveling by car? If you’re heading somewhere cold,  prepare your car for winter weather  and pack an  emergency supply kit  that includes essentials like jumper cables, a car cell phone charger, a blanket, and a map. Cooking a big meal?  Prevent home fires  and keep an eye on what you fry! Many cooking fires start when frying food. Stay in your kitchen and be aware of what’s going on.
