Family Holiday Crafting 4-H SPIN Club

 


    Registration is now open for the Family Holiday Crafting 4-H SPIN Club.  Join us at N.C. Cooperative Extension - Robeson County Center on November 6, 13, and 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM (Eastern Time) for a fun-filled evening of holiday crafting with your family. Let's get creative and make some festive decorations together! No experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm and holiday spirit.

Due to decreases in funding opportunities we will be charging $12 per person for this event which will cover all supplies that you will need for all three meetings. Family Holiday Crafting 4-H SPIN Club

 


This club is for all currently active member in 4-H (actively enrolled in 4-H Online) and their families. We will meet three times and work on a craft each time and learn the value of crafting, as well as the entrepreneurial side of creating your own business. Each meeting will be at the NC Cooperative Extension, Robeson County Center office at 455 Caton Road in Lumberton. We will meet starting at 6 pm and wind up by 8 pm at the latest. Please see the dates and crafting projects below. Each project is designed to be completed during the club meeting and a list will be provided of supplies if you would like to continue these projects at home.

By registering you are registering for all three craft club meetings. Please register each member of the family that will be attending. If you can not attend a meeting we will have supplies for you to pick up and a video tutorial to try at home.

Thursday, November 7- Diamond Art-there is nothing like the sparkle to diamond art. Come make your own holiday themed magic creations and enjoy crafting time with other families.

Thursday, November 14-Up Cycle Ornaments. We will have some fun making holiday ornaments and decor out of some everyday items.

Tuesday, November 21- Butter makes Everything Better, even at the Holidays. Learn about the craft of making butters and bread. Who can resist fresh baked bread and some very cool butter to go with it as a gift for the holidays?

Art Exploration 4-H Club

   


We are excited to announce our Art Exploration 4-H SPIN Club.  Youth will be able to enjoy different types of performances at UNCP's Givens performing arts center for free as well as a special Etiquette Lesson that will include dinner prior to the first show. January 31-Etiquette lesson will occur as part of UNCP's performing art series.  Registered members will meet prior to the show for this once in a lifetime experience.  There will be a $40 fee for this lesson and dinner will be included as part of the lesson to ensure no one is hungry prior to the show.

January 31-The Sophia Orchestra from Sofia Bulgaria will perform a traditional classical concert.  Considered one of the finest travelling orchestras in the world this will be an unforgetable night of learning about classical music and the role it plays in our society.

February 28-The String Queens-This trio will blow you away with traditional trio instruments performing pop ballads.  Hailing from New York this popular group has made a name for themselves and will be an exciting twist for our youth to experience. 

March 21- Chigago-This is a cover band for the music of the 1970's rock band Chicago.  This was one of the first groups that used brass and strings in pop culture music showing a differnet genre about what had been considered clasical instruments.
