The 4-H Challenge for Thursday is....

Image
Thankful Thursday!  Show us what or who you are thankful for.  Creativity is a good thing.  Maybe you are grateful for your health, a person in your life, rain, fresh air, Internet connectivity, chocolate, toilet paper.  Wow, there is soooooo much to be grateful for everyday and especially with everything going on in the world now.  Share with us what you are grateful for in a photo or video, emailed to Shea_Ann_DeJarnette@ncsu.edu by noon on Friday, May 1.  This contest is open to all current Robeson County 4-H members.  For more information about the contest please see our blog post or email Shea_Ann_DeJarnette@ncsu.edu.

Tasty Tuesday Goes to......

Image
Are your mouth buds watering thinking about the entries that came in for our 4-H Challenge Tasty Tuesday?  Well wait no longer.  We had two entries for this competition....our Cloverbud winner is Thomas Underwood with his Cheerwine Poke Cake.  The cake, which uses Cheerwine and cherries made him cheery, along with the rest of his family as they ate it. Our other entry came from none other than Senior Maggie Underwood.  She gave us a shot of her  quarandillas.  According to Maggie,  "My favorite part of quarantine is "quarandillas" (quesadillas you eat during quarantine).  They are made with peppers, onions, pineapples, and lots and lots of cheese."  After all everything is better with a little cheese.

Wednesday's 4-H Challenge is.....

Image
Welcome to Workout Wednesday!  Tell us what you do to workout.  It might be your body or your brain.  Maybe you walk around the block or garden.  Perhaps you chase your siblings and throw them in a pool.  Maybe you work your brain by playing a challenging game, or try to read an encyclopedia, or by stretching across a keyboard daily.  Whatever it is you do capture it in a photo or video and send it to Shea_Ann_DeJarnette@ncsu.edu by noon on Thursday, April 30. An independent committee will review all the submissions each day and pick the top three winners in each age division.  Cloverbuds, 5-7 year olds, will get a prize for participation.  The 4-H Challenge is open to all current Robeson County 4-H members.  For questions please contact Shea_Ann_DeJarnette@ncsu.edu.

Motivational Monday Winners Are....

Image
As promised our winners for Motivational Monday 4-H Challenge are.......all the 4-H members who submitted entries. Cloverbud, Thomas Underwood, says his brain is what motivates him.  So he drew a picture of his brain and added all the things he likes because his brain motivates him to.  He submitted a photo of himself holding his brain (the drawing, not the real thing that is). Not to be outdone in our Senior division is Maggie Underwood who design this poster with Stan Lee.  Stan Lee is a famous American comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer. Maggie says Mr. Lee inspires her.
